Share the Christmas Love

ABOUT OUR CAUSE

While the majority of us spend our Christmas in a warm house feasting with friends and family, there are some people that don’t have such privileges.

Homeless people get passed by hundreds of people on a daily basis who just avoid them. This is shameful as they are all human beings the same as all of us.

This Christmas, we want to make sure they feel just as loved as we do on Christmas night. As many people stereotype that being homeless is nothing more than bad life decisions related to drug/alcohol abuse, this isn’t always the case. Many of them used to have normal jobs before, once you start speaking to them, you find out that they often had a good life before they lost their job or house.

Should the cause of their homelessness be due to drugs and alcohol, this is even more of a reason to help them. I have met some people coming from this background who have recovered to full strength, and they are usually very friendly and funny. They also have some amazing stories to tell.

We aim to go out into the cities around Christmas and talk to them, learn their stories, make them feel wanted and loved. We will leave them with a present to help them get through the cold winter.
